Inspiring stories of animal adoption and rescue!
Be an inspiration! Adopt an animal!

Lucky and Hannah Banana
Lucky and Hannah Banana are brother and sister kittens whose Christmas gift was a warm, loving home for the holidays. Rescued at an adoption event when they were just 7 months old, these two mischievous cats were given as a Christmas present for my brother's fiance. They love their new home and family and getting into all kinds of good-natured trouble. And since they were adopted a few weeks before Christmas, they were given plenty of time to adjust to their new home well before the crazy bustle of the holidays! Sweet kittens given a loving family for the holidays - a truly heartwarming holiday story! :-)
Tickles
Tickles is a four-year-old Staffie-mix located in New York. Tickles was rescued from a high-kill animal shelter two years ago by non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization Bobbi and The Strays on the day she was set to be euthanized. Tickles had been waiting two years before she was adopted by a wonderful man who is able to bring Tickles to work with him every day. Tickles finally has the loving home and family she deserves!
Rupert
Rupert was rescued from a farm where the feline population had become too overgrown with both domestic and wild cats. Rupert was all too joyous to trade in noisy farm life for a quiet life as Sunny's special kitty companion! Rupert is a happy snuggler and loves to get attention from all people and his three feline buds - which include Buddha-Cat and Louie.
Bridget
Bridget was adopted from a Maryland animal shelter. A small dog with a big heart, Bridget was the inspiration behind the Midge comics. Bridget showed the comedy in all the naughty things that dogs do :) But she was such a sweet, wild spirit, it was impossible not to love her.
Bridget passed away from cancer in 2000.
A fundraising page was opened in 2009 in her name to raise money towards ending canine cancer.

The Spud
The Spud is a 'designer-dog' pug/rat terrier mix with a genetic defect - her bottom jaw is longer than her top jaw, so her little fang always sticks out! Cute, right? But because of this minor defect, The Spud was going to be euthanized by her breeder since nobody would buy this 'imperfect designer dog'. Fortunately, a fellow came to The Spud's rescue and the breeder gave her to him free. He gave The Spud to us - and neither we nor The Spud could be happier! The Spud is now 4 years old, and an absolute doll! She loves her other furry friends and cuddling! If she is imperfect, than perfection is overrated!
Buddha-Cat
Buddha-Cat was a homeless alleycat living in the streets until the night he decided to follow my brother home from work! He was such a sweetie that there was no doubt he should become part of our family. Because he was full-grown when we found him, Buddha-Cat's age is a mystery, although he is believed to be either 8 or 9. In 2006, Buddha-Cat suffered from complications of a kidney stone, and almost lost his life. But with lots of love and care, we pulled him through. Today Buddha-Cat is a happy, playful and, most of all, loving companion.
